A wooden toy boat with linen sails, a navy ribbon and a drift of white blossom: the card is coastal without a single anchor or stripe. The heading in deep blue script welcomes a new little mate, and the whole thing feels like a summer house by the water. It is one of the clearest boy choices in this collection.
Write in the name, the date and the place, then send. If the party is at the family’s home, the sample line shows how simply that can be said.
Give the day a little sea air: a blue and white table, a few shells or a toy boat as a centerpiece, lemonade and a light lunch. If the weather allows, take it outside; a sprinkle on a deck or a porch needs almost no decorating at all.
