Calling All Heroes! lands at the top in fat yellow-and-red comic letters on a blue burst, lightning bolts and stars flying off the edges, and the bottom is a city skyline in red, blue and yellow with two hero masks and a red cape thrown across it, printed on speckled kraft with halftone dots.
Max turns 7 slants across the middle in red capitals with a yellow outline, Suit up for a birthday adventure above, the date and the Heroes’ hideout in dark navy below. Write in your own hero. “Capes required” and “Secret identities welcome” are the lines parents add, and a backyard becomes “Headquarters”.
Four to nine, boys and girls alike. A cape and mask station at the door, an obstacle course of training missions, a villain pinata, pow-and-bam cookies and a skyline cake in primary colors. Send it two to three weeks out, with a reminder the week before so the costumes are ready.
