Reindeer are landing on the lawn, a couple waves from the front steps and every window in the house is lit. If your Christmas Eve is the kind where the door stays open and people come by all evening, this is the card.
It suits a Christmas Eve open house, a neighborhood party, a family gathering that runs late, a drop-in with cocoa and cookies, or a party for children who still listen for sleigh bells. Give the hours, name the hosts and the street, and let guests come when they can.
Ideas from the picture: luminaries along the walk, bells on the door, a hot cider pot on the stove, reindeer food for children to sprinkle on the lawn, and carols playing on the porch. Send the invitation in a message and it opens on any phone; printed, it goes in every neighbor’s mailbox.
