A glossy red 30 hangs over a retro bowling alley with green booths, polished lanes and a teal Let’s Roll sign, with a cake and bowling pins on the table. Below the picture the lines sit on cream: shoes, strikes, and, then the name in tall teal capitals, then the date and the lanes.
This is the birthday for a group night out: a few lanes reserved, pitchers and pizza between frames, and a prize for the lowest score. It suits a thirtieth where the guest of honor would rather compete than sit through a dinner, and it works for a mixed crowd of friends, siblings and coworkers who have not met before.
Fill in the name, the night and the alley, and it goes straight to the group. Lane time and a reminder about shoe sizes fit in one line underneath.
