A small wooden fox sits at the bottom of this card with a toadstool and two acorns, painted like toys from a mountain gift shop, and a branch of leaves reaches in from the top corner. The title is set in warm russet, the same color as the fox’s coat.
The card feels like a cabin in October: wood, moss and a fire somewhere. Pick it for a fall birthday, for a boy or a girl, and for families who would rather spend the day outside than in a party room.
Hold the party in the woods or in a backyard with a fire pit: plaid blankets, cider and cocoa, s’mores for the adults, a cake shaped like a tree stump. Little paper fox ears on a headband make a party hat the birthday boy will actually keep on for a minute.
