It is the natural card for a neighborhood Christmas party, a street potluck, a cul-de-sac cookie night or a gathering at a cottage out of town. Add your family name, the day, the hours and the house number, and send it to the block.
The scene suggests the party too: a fire going, cocoa and cider in big pots, a walk to see the lights after dark, and children’s boots lined up by the door. Older guests will recognize the picture at once, and children will want to look for the lantern.
