Level 18 unlocked. A chrome 18 floats above a controller on a glowing green and blue backdrop, the Level Unlocked banner sits under the numerals, and the name is written in sharp italic letters straight out of a title screen. For the birthday boy who would rather play than talk about it.
Set up a tournament bracket on the big screen, bring in a second console and a few extra controllers, serve pizza and sodas in the kitchen, hand out controller cookies and pixel-art balloons, and crown a champion before cake. A basement or den is the natural venue.
Enter the name, date and place, and it is ready for the whole party. Any gamer birthday from twelve up fits it, and so does a LAN party at any age.
